Could this Be Our First Look at Transformers 3 Robot?

By MISP Steve on Wednesday, June 16, 2010

Images are flowing from the Transformers 3 set in Chicago this week. Get a look at what AintItCoolNews has posted from one of thier readers. They are walking the line on this one. Citing it could just a filming prop or some Russian Transformer? This would the USA versus Russia plot line that Bay recently hinted at in the news. It looks goofy as all heck, almost like Optimus Primal? You'll have to look at this one and decide for yourself.

An AICN reader called Bruiser sent in this snapshot - he/she says it's from the Chicago set of TRANSFORMERS 3.

If so, I'm guessing this is a practical stand-in for a bot that'll eventually be enlivened by CGI - but that's merely a guess.

Is this some kind of mechanical man built by humans to use as army against Decepticons? Or...we've recently learned that part of the picture's plot plot involves the U.S./Russian Space Race (details HERE). Perhaps this a Russian bot of some sort - it has that weird Soyuz coloring)?

All of this is merely speculation & I could be completely wrong. Just thinking out loud...
What is kind of interesting is you can make out a camera and crew that appear to be filming the robot on the back of the truck or something to that effect. This is just speculation here and on the Primal guess. Welcome to the circus that is Transformers 3. Check out the complete post over at aintitcool.com.

Transformers Asia has posted a large image to their Facebook page showing off everything that comes with Ultimate Optimus Prime! Based on the TakaraTomy Jetwing Optimus Prime, itself a further modification of Revenge of the Fallen Leader-class Optimus Prime, this version of the toy seems to come with everything that was ever included with any version of that figure plus a new "Knuckle" attachment. Prime now has spiked knuckles for all his robot-eviscerating hijinx! Keep reading to see for yourself!
Transformers Asia has announced a new high-end movie Optimus Prime based on the Jetwing Optimus Prime mold that was previously exclusive to Japan. Ultimate Optimus Prime is a highly-painted version of that mold said to be "Loaded with Accessories and Weapons!" More details as they become available, but for now keep reading to check out the photo!
Following up on our previous report of 3A Toys doing their take on Dark of The Moon's redesign of Megatron in in a higher-end, non-transforming figure, we have more details about the upcoming item thanks to decemberist. In addition to a full accounting of standard accessories, we've found out about what surprising items will be exclusive to one retailer, as well as the price you can expect. Keep reading for the full list!
Via an Ebay seller we have some new looks at the soon to be released two pack of Human Alliance Barricade and Soundwave. Human Alliance Soundwave was limited in release originally, though this edition may not be much easier to get due to its high base price and being an Asian market exclusive item. And despite this, neither toy appear to have any significant deco additions over their individual releases. Click through to check out the photos.
For whatever you might feel about the content of Age of Extinction in general, many agree that it at least had some nice music cues. While a score for the movie was available for a short time, the complexities of licensing forced its sale to be terminated after a fixed number of copies. If you missed out on that, you have another chance to listen to Steve Jablonksy's music for the film, including tracks that have never been released before. There's over 80 in total, so click through for the link, and get your favorite headphones ready so you can listen to them all!
