Custom of the Week: Computron/Technobots by ALPHAMAGNUS

By Garage Mod on Tuesday, March 17, 2009

Transformers Garage is on the look out for the best custom / kitbash to feature each week here and in the Transformers Garage Hall of Fame section. This week's featured custom are the Technobots by ALPHAMAGNUS. The five Technobots Scattershot, Strafe, Nosecone, Lightspeed, and Afterburner form Computron in this great-looking custom.

Technobot Scattershot

"Scattershot is the combination of 1/2 Energon Ironhide and 1/2 Energon Jetfire with generous removing of excess parts. His backpack is from Energon Bulkhead. The head is from Robots In Disguise Ultra Magnus. Cannon courtesy of Unicron's chest blaster."

Technobot Strafe

"Strafe was made form an Energon Skyblast. I gave him knees, and reconfigured the wings to resemble G1 Strafe. His blasters are from 2x Energon Battle Ravages and the head was from Energon Duststorm."

Technobot Nosecone

"Nosecone was based from a heavily modded Energon Stormcloud. His drill was from an old Braves combiner, and the treads are from Energon Shockblast. Missile launchers are from the Classics seeker mold."

Technobot Lightspeed

"Lightspeed was made form Armada Blurr with Energon Duststorm's head."

Technobot Afterburner

"Afterburner was made using Cybertron Ransack and his head is from Energon Sledge. The shield was a part of a Gundam PVC. I haven't found proper G1 weapons yet, so his tiny pistol is all he's got."

Very nice individual Robot Modes. I agree that the legs are a little under developed. I have a spare Unicron waist if you are interested. Those thighs are much larger. I think it looks better than my custom Computron pictured below... Individual Forms (link) I always make that joke about Comp... read more

This is pretty sweet. Like the individual robot modes better than the combined form. It's funny seein a giant transformer with skinny ankles. LOL Really impressed with the detail work overall though.

Dude that is sick! You should definitely apply for a job at Hasbro (God knows they could use someone like you). By the way, Are you interested in selling it? Let us know. I got first dibs on it.
