Custom of the Week - War Within Shockwave by TonyzCustomz

By Garage Mod on Thursday, February 26, 2009

Transformers Garage is on the look out for the best custom / kitbash to feature each week here and in the Transformers Garage Hall of Fame section. This week's featured custom is the War Within Shockwave by TonyzCustomz.

People have been kicking around kitbash ideas for the Marvel Crossovers toys and this one's too cool as bulked out WW Shocky making it this weeks Custom or of the Week.

Question: What is big and green and fuglier than the Hulk?
Answer: His Transformers Marvel Crossover toy.

Yea, we've all seen it and wondered "why?" With a $15 price tag to make special, it seemed like a total FAIL. However, good can come from the bad. TonyzCustomz War Within Shockwave is our proof. Keeping with the beefed up War Within look, TonyzCustomz has imagined a compelling version from that corner of the Transformers Universe as TonyzCustomz tells it:
"Shockwave here is loosely based of Don concept art from teh War Within Comic. Made from a Hulk Transformer Crossover figure with a ShockBlast head and the cannon off of a Movie Bumblebee Figure. Painted him up in a slightly metallic purple for the body and greys for the treads and bits and he is one mean purple Tank. Thanks for looking!"
