Die-cast construction was a lost art, until Hasbro's acquired Micro Machines maker Galoob and started rolling out the Transformers Titanium series toys in 2006. These mostly all-metal figures, aside from the weapons and wheels, were offered as character accurate mini-statues in the Robot Masters 3-inch scale and the more dynamic but less accurate in the Cybertron Heroes 6-inch line where articulation and transformation were added to designs.
Today's Prime shot takes a look at one of the later figures not made for the War Within series. The 6-inch Titanium Cybertron Heroes Beast Wars Optimal Optimus figure. Like others in the line, the mostly metal figure has no gun or accessories, but still retains the same modes. The well-articulated design turned out to be a pretty good recreation of the original figure (right).
