The Transformers was such a big hit in 1984 that became a huge licensing opportunity for Hasbro who worked with probably hundreds of companies to make everything else beyond the toys. From Apparel to tents, I am always amazed at what was officially produced by companies in partnership with Hasbro in the boom times after the cartoon debuted.

The Optimus Prime Magic Action Picture Wallet. Licensed by Diamond Toymakers in 1984 it was made of vinyl with a unique feature of a lenticular cover face that when tilted, gave the illusion of it transforming from the Transformers logo into the Optimus Prime artwork that was featured on the now legendary box. It is shown at right with a nylon wallet featuring a plain old silkscreened image of Transformers Animated Optimus Prime.
