It is hard to believe that next year will be the 25th Anniversary of the Beast Wars. The new series that was met with total shock and disdain after the conclusion of Generation 1. Has grown into one of the most popular Transformers a quarter-century since. Beast Wars was the show that introduced many of us to the Transformers with its innovative computer graphic animation, fantastic stories, and heart-pounding soundtrack.
Today's shot is all Primal, with a look at the Beast Wars 10th Anniversary Optimus Primal deluxe class figure that was released in 2006. At the time, the figure was a disappointment due to the odd Jungle Planet design that didn't reflect the look of the cartoon in the robot or alternate Ape modes, and the surfboard being a totally new fabrication. In time, this figure has grown on me for being a unique and fun addition to my collection. Shown here, left to right, are the 2014 Botcon Apelinq, 2006 Jungle Planet Optimus Prime, 2006 10th Anniversary Optimus Primal, and 2014 Botcon Primal Prime.
