Darius McCrary In Talks To Return As Jazz In TF 2

 Darius McCary is currently in talks to return as the voice of Jazz in "Transformers 2," according to Black American Web.
Mr. McCrary revealed this during a catch-up article on various stars that the website was working on.
If he does return as Jazz, it will be interesting to see how the screenwriting trio will handle his resurrection.
"Transformers 2" is tentatively scheduled to begin filming in June 2008 - dependent upon the Writers Guild of America strike - with it hitting theaters in June 2009.

if you read the leaked treatment, you'd see how they originally planned to bring back megatron, thanks to soundwave.

I really, really hope it's a fake. I don't know wether to blame the actor, writers, or director. But the net result was every time jazz opened his mouth I wanted to leave the theater.
It is interesting that we're finally seeing an acknowledgement that this movie getting made will hinge on the writers strike.
What this means is don't hold your breath, a lot of people think they may hold out until the directors and actors go on strike also. That would probably mean more like summer 2010. But who knows? |

But-

It was just painful. Really, only Optimus and BB had good dialogue in the movie (yes, I know BB was mute). But Jazz was just about the worst. I didn't think his design this particular go round was all that either. |

As much as I love Jazz, I really don't think it's a good idea to resurrect him. because you know.... being ripped in half and have your spark personally extinguished by Megs is quite a hard thing to come back from, story-writing wise.
And he can't just pop back into the series either, like Wheeljack suddenly did in the funana comics.

Perhaps Bay is just playing the jester and jestering us all about a bit. Or perhaps Bay isn't playing the jester, but knows fans will think he's playing the jester, so he's actally letting the truth out in a quasi-jesterfying manner, and....

I say that because on RottenTomatoes.com a month or so ago, Michael Bay was quoted in an article saying that he was intentionally going to leak out false information to throw the fans off. I remember him being quoted as saying "I now know their game..." so I would be pretty wary of any scripts, interviews, or anything else out there. |
