DASH Has a Bruticus For You to Unwrap This Holiday Season

By Jay on Friday, December 07, 2012

Every Transformers collector knows what it’s like to wake up on that special day, find that giant box, and open that toy you’ve been dreaming about all year. DASH also knows how wonderful that feeling is, and that’s why we’re trying to give five lucky collectors the Christmas of their dreams and their childhood. Check out the details for our Christmas Club Contest and to make sure you’re entered to win one of our special Christmas gifts which will arrive wrapped and all, including a five-figure Bruticus set in the grand prize and smaller Transformers in other gifts.

Standard registered users on DASH have a pile of things under their tree, but there’s even more stuff in the stocking when you
upgrade your membership.

If you thought that was all our contests currently running, you must be lacking some holiday spirit. We’re adding new contests every week, and the only way to see them all is to Like DASH on Facebook. We hope you have a great holiday season, find a toy or two under your tree, and make the most of your collection with DASH.

There's a point where things can be so bad, they are good. The folks at Shredders have taken this idea to the next level with their line of pop culture inspired Xmas sweaters. Fans will be happy to know they can get a wonderfully tacky Transformers sweater rippling with woven Optimus Prime goodness. The sweaters can be ordered online in sizes from XS, for the kids, to XXXL for the big folks too at $79.99 USD. Read on for the details and a look at the hideous goodness.
Bryce Malek, who served as story editor for the first two seasons of the original Transformers cartoon, filmed a short movie showing his workplace at Marvel Productions. Part of the video shows Malek looking over a draft script of The Immobilizer, here titled "The Molecule Immobilizer". While this doesn't offer a lot besides Malek's attempts at basic cinematography, it's an interesting and rare chance to see behind the scenes where the scripts for Transformers were created. Click through and check out the embedded video!
Thanks to Weibo member transformers we have news and an image giving us a first look at a new Optimus Prime project from Ori Toy. The shot shows what appears to be some kind of bust of the Autobot Leader. Juding from the name, it could a die-cast-like version of Prime's torso detailing and all the drool worth goodness that goes with. Check out the image till we know more.
The WIP Department Facebook page has posted an extensive gallery from Toy Soul 2014! Among the new things on the page is one heretofore unknown Transformers product from Kids Logic: an SD G1 Devastator! We'll have more info on that as it becomes available, but for now keep reading to see it- and check out WIP Department's page for a LOT of non-Transformers stuff from Toy Soul!
This is a Transformers concept by Andrew Mercer who started working on this concept back in 2011. Knowing that 2014 was the 30th anniversary year, he thought this line would be a cool way to celebrate the rich history of the brand. Figures that could reformat between different Generations in the same way they could Transform from robot to vehicle. Transformat = Reformat + Transform.
