In more unofficial Combaticon news, Iron Factory has shared photos on their Weibo account showing the contents of the War Giant Attackers two pack, which consists of their Legends-sized representations of Swindle and Brawl. Perhaps most notable about them is the heights of their robot modes vary considerably, where most interpretations keep them similar. Plus, via alucardlee, we have some full color shots of the complete War Giant that reveal a very articulate and oddly expressive combined form. You can find the full range of photos below!
On Weibo, we have some unofficial Combaticon updates via alucardlee. First up is images of a color testshot of the Onslaught to Unique Toys' larger scale Combaticon lineup. It seems to currently be without a revealed trade name, but despite that we get to have a good look at robot and vehicle modes, as well as how it stacks up next to the set's Swindle and Brawl-analogues. A partial build of Bruticus is done as well to demonstrate the proportions at this stage of development. We've mirrored the photos for your convenience, click through to have a look!
MakeToys has announced via Twitter that after negotiations with retailers, their Galaxy Meteor figure will be released after all! The way they made it work: a price reduction to $99.99, which just makes it even better. MakeToys thanked all its fans for their support and love - and we certainly hope to see sales for Galaxy Meteor reflect the passion that people had for getting it made. Fingers crossed, but in the meantime, keep reading for more info!
It was a while ago that we saw a CG render teaser for a redeco of one of Fans Hobby's unofficial MP-style Monsterbots done up to resemble Beast Wars Megatron. That plan has come to fruition finally with the announcement of MB-03A The Red Dragon, retooled and featuring accessories all drawing inspiration straight from the Botcon 2016 TM3 Megatron exclusive. The Red Dragon is going to be an exclusive at the Shanghai 9th SGC, limited to 300 units which is bound to make this an extra challenge to obtain. We have several photos from Fans Hobby's Twitter and from Aludardlee, keep reading to see them!
One more quick review from diecast on RFC Reviews tonight! FansToys recently brought out a replacement head option for their unofficial Masterpiece-style Grimlock, Grinder. This new head is modeled more closely after the look of the dinosaur mode in the G1 cartoon, giving an easy modification option for owners more inclined to that appearance. How easy? Well, diecast manages it in the space of about six minutes, and still has time for several off-color jokes in the process! Wow! Check out the video in the post below.
