When a new line was slated to arrive, we would see slight variations of a figure from one auctioneer to another or even from various periods of development.
One would be have a packaged version of the figure while another would have a loose version. However, it seems things have changed with Transformers: Animated.
In this gallery we see different shots from different sellers of what seems to be an over-saturation of each figure in the same phase of development.
It's not exactly known for sure, but Hasbro may be giving the "Transformers" AllSpark Power sub-line a little bit more time to breath and stretch its arms and legs a bit before they make a push with the brand-new Transformers: Animated toyline.

Is Hasbro gonna cut off their nose to spite their face? I mean, if this is all true about delaying the Animated line solely for Movie merchandise, I would rank that among the 10 most boneheaded ideas I've heard in my lifetime

Yes, but how many of the other nine where also decisions made by Hasbro executives (or at least executives somewhere)?

i would agree... i think the movie line is about played out and a bunch of repaints aren't worth delaying the animated characters... isn't the cartoon delaying in a few weeks.... are the trying to artificially boost demand by showing a cartoon for several months before the toys are released.... i hope the cartoon doesn't suck since we'd seen almost all of the first season by the time the toys debut...
