Economic Down Turn Impacts Paramount's Financing

According to CNBC.com the recent economic down turn is putting the squeeze on on Hollywood too. According to their sources The Deutsche Bank $450 million financing deal with Paramount Pictures has fallen through. The money was earmarked to fund the production of up to 30 films including those in production already such as "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" and the next "Star Trek" movie. It is not known at this time if this will directly effect those films. Read More

Aaaa...no worries. Transformers, Star Trek, and the rest will still get made. This might cause a set back with some of the less important movies, but I'm guessing the money-making sequels, like Transformers & Star Trek, will find the necessary funding to complete them. From the site: These movies will still get made--Paramount will either find funds elsewhere, or will finance them entirely themselves, taking on more risk. So there's your answer.
