Transformers Encore Fortress Maximus and Masterpiece MP-13 Soundwave Delayed

By Jack on Monday, November 12, 2012

Thanks to the CyberGundam blog we have work that TakaraTomy have announced there will be a delay in the release of the Transformers Encore Fortress Maximus and the Masterpiece MP-13 Soundwave. The Encore Fortress Maximus will released on March 30th, 2013 instead of the original February date. The Masterpiece MP-13 Soundwave will be released on January 26, 2013 instead of the December 15, 2012 date. We know many of you were looking forwards to these toys. Hopefully, these are the only figures held up.

While I could handle it, I can do without one more credit card charge in December. As for Fort Max, the delay will give me more time build up the "war chest" of money I use for such purchases.

I think it's good. Should have money back from my taxes by then to spend on them.

As long as they are coming, I am happy with the delay. Allows me to refill my coffers after all that spending I did on the TRU exclusives. I am sure I spent over $200 in the past month alone on those exclusives. Also, between my pre-orders and gas spent trying to find above said exclusives, my ... read more

That works in favor of folks who wanted to use their tax returns to score Fort Max so good for them at least!

Well bummer! I was really hoping to have Soundwave between Christmas and my birthday, now he won't be here until about 3 weeks afterwards. Kinda good about FM, maybe I'll get enough together for him, but he's kind of an after thought ... SW was my big one!

Actually happy Fort Max got pushed back a bit, the later his release date is, the more likely it'll be that I can afford him. A little bummed about Soundwave, but I guess it'll have to be a birthday present to myself instead of a Christmas present, so no real big, especially since we're ... read more

Dengeki Hobby has released the first photos of Masterpiece Road Rage, the Diaclone-inspired recolor/retool of Masterpiece Tracks. Getting our first look at Road Rage in her normal and flying car modes, the figure is looking even better than it did with the robot mode shots. Road Rage will be released in October. Click through to check out the pictures!
By way of Planet Iacon, we have Dengeki Hobby's photos of MP-26 Road Rage in Vehicle Mode! As with previous Transformers renditions of the Diaclone "Red Tracks" design, the flame deco on the hood is entirely intact except for the addition of an Autobot symbol in place of the Corvette Stingray "CS" design. Keep reading for a closer look!
Click here to view the Radio Free Cybertron live stream for 5/13/2015! This week on Radio Free Cybertron: Color photos of MP-26 Road Rage surface, Leader Class Starscream is a thing, in-hand images of Titan Class Devastator, Botcon Registration delayed, FansToys Stop, MMC Commotus and way more!
Road Rage is the bodyguard/advisor of Cybertron ambassador Crosscut. She is well-versed in alien cultures and generally cheerful, making her a very good diplomat. However, a chronic short-out in her vehicle mode causes her to live up to her name; in car mode, she is a snarling, swerving speed machine with little regard—if not utter contempt—for anyone else on the road with her. Mini Twincast boombox is also included!
The saga of the Transformer once known as "Marlboor" continues: By way of Twitter User @PumaTheHunter, we've learned that site sponsor TFSource has included letters with its shipments of MP-23 Exhaust explaining how they were able to make the figure available in the US. Apparently all Exhausts shipping from TFSource have been repainted to comply with Philip Morris' request that their trademarks not be referenced on the figure. Additionally, full refunds and return shipping are offered to those not satisfied with this solution. Keep reading to see the letter! UPDATED with a photo of the modified figure!
