Transformers Encore Fortress Maximus and Masterpiece MP-13 Soundwave Delayed
Jack - Monday, November 12, 2012

Thanks to the CyberGundam blog we have work that TakaraTomy have announced there will be a delay in the release of the Transformers Encore Fortress Maximus and the Masterpiece MP-13 Soundwave. The Encore Fortress Maximus will released on March 30th, 2013 instead of the original February date. The Masterpiece MP-13 Soundwave will be released on January 26, 2013 instead of the December 15, 2012 date. We know many of you were looking forwards to these toys. Hopefully, these are the only figures held up.

While I could handle it, I can do without one more credit card charge in December. As for Fort Max, the delay will give me more time build up the "war chest" of money I use for such purchases.

I think it's good. Should have money back from my taxes by then to spend on them.

As long as they are coming, I am happy with the delay. Allows me to refill my coffers after all that spending I did on the TRU exclusives. I am sure I spent over $200 in the past month alone on those exclusives. Also, between my pre-orders and gas spent trying to find above said exclusives, my ... read more

Yup, Soundwave should be on my doorstep 2 weeks after my birthday, still counts though! Lol

That works in favor of folks who wanted to use their tax returns to score Fort Max so good for them at least!

Well bummer! I was really hoping to have Soundwave between Christmas and my birthday, now he won't be here until about 3 weeks afterwards. Kinda good about FM, maybe I'll get enough together for him, but he's kind of an after thought ... SW was my big one!

Actually happy Fort Max got pushed back a bit, the later his release date is, the more likely it'll be that I can afford him. A little bummed about Soundwave, but I guess it'll have to be a birthday present to myself instead of a Christmas present, so no real big, especially since we're ... read more

More MasterPiece News
Loopaza Mega Store on Facebook has shared high res scans of this month's Figure King magazine, giving us a look at the feature on Masterpiece Grapple! With some repeats of the previously seen stock photos, such as the accessory option parts, we also have a few new glimpses. But maybe most notably there's a render depicting only the parts shared between Grapple and Inferno - and roughly half the toy is missing, meaning Grapple's sporting a lot of new pieces! Also shown were UW-EX Megatronia, a bit of Transformers Adventure, and a full page on the Diaclone Reboot power suits - click through to take a look!
Optimus Prime is the leader of the evil Autobots from the Shattered Glass continuity family. The articulated Optimus Prime figure depicts the sadistic, tyrannical leader of the evil Autobots in a classic purple, green, and gray color scheme. This fully articulated menacing Optimus Prime is a great addition to any Transformers collection. Listed at $179.99 to ship in November 2016 - Preorder now at bigbadtoystore.com.
Shared by Low Ghim Joo on Planet Iacon, we have some up close looks at the Hasbro Asia exclusive accessory that'll be coming with the reissued MP Ironhide. The drill, from More Than Meets The Eye, Part 3, is only going to be offered through the Hasbro Asia reissue, and will be presented in its own special packaging as seen in these photos. Being a piece of die-cast metal, it may be a better display piece in its neat briefcase packaging than as an actual accessory for the figure! The photos are mirrored below, so click through and see!
We've got an early look at Masterpiece Thrust, the second exclusive "conehead" type Seeker retooled off the revised Starscream body. The quick gallery shows the figure in both modes from various angles, along with some specific highlights of the design details. P,us we get to see a couple of side by sides with the previously released Ramjet. Thrust is not due to ship out until October 29th in Japan. Southeast Asia might see it a bit earlier, though certainly not early enough to account for this sample! Keep reading for mirrored photos.
UPDATE: we forgot to mention that this is, of course, a "Digibash" - a digital coloring job - but it's quite a nice one! The TFmizer Facebook page has posted a new image of the mystery "MP" Megatron that appeared last week, except now in color! It certainly looks as though it could be official judging from the style and quality, but until we have confirmation from a TakaraTomy source we are withholding a definitive confirmation here. Keep reading to see the image!
