F4F Provides Update For Baroness and Ravage Statue

By bwbm on Tuesday, October 02, 2007

At Toyfair 2006, First4Figures announced the "Baroness and Ravage" statue to much anticipation. Since then, however, the company has been mum on any details of this surprisingly absent statue. However, thanks to "Rquiem," we now have an update.

The reason for is the lack of retailer support, according to the provided e-mail correspondence. The status is now slated for a first quarter 2008 release and will receive minor modifications including Ravage's pose to show more struggle with the Baroness.

The following is the full e-mail that was provided by "Rquiem":

Why is it taking so long?

First4Figures: It was a lack of retailer support. However, we have never actually put up the baroness and ravage model on our site at all. The images that are on the internet are actually were not authorized by us, but the retailers put it up anyways. There still hasn't been a strong demand for this, but like you, we want to see this go to production.

Are the pictures we saw on the net still deadon? Has the figure been changed from its first appearance? updated, downgraded?

Will be similar, though we intend to change ravage's pose slightly to give a more pulling on his chain pose.

When should we expect to welcome the statue home? Doesn’t have to be exact day and time, however if it can see a Christmas release would be great!

Q1 2008.

If they'd make the thing out of lower cost material and put it out cheaper, I'd buy it! It's the price of all these statues that keep me from them. I can't collect all these figures, add on the statues, plus have to pay for regular everyday living. These statues are running for $150 on up. I've said it before and it's now obvious, I can't figure out anyone that is a big fan and can actually afford all of this stuff. Just lower the prices and the demand will be there. When store clearance the statues, they sell the heck out of them. There's a reason for that and it's not scalpers just buying for Ebay.

great piece! now how bout a whole LINE of these? something like a transformers (actual transformer) vehicle with a gi joe pilot. it could just be a gi joe line, i.e. HISS tank driver with transformer HISS tank.

WTF? They are lying. The statue was shown by First 4 Figures themselves at ToyFair 2006. Forget about it. You will never see this or the other TF statues these guys announced previously.

Whoever sculpted that baroness and ravage statue, went a little over his head when adding a collar and chain to restrain...RAVAGE!? Ravage would eat that ***** alive if she ever even so much as pulled on that. lol.

I dunno.. Im all statued out. These arent that inspiring. But if guess people will like it.
