Code is kind of a let down, just because it doesn't look like he is a headmaster. plus the paint aps but again it could just be the lighting with the head. Still getting him though

I REALLY dislike the coloring on Chromedomes head, but I'm super happy that he's approximately deluxe scale since that means the Headmaster from my custom should fit him, and when I'm done Chromedome will have a Nebulos mode and Earth mode Transtector

Im not going to get these, but man do I want to. Especially Weirdwolf, Skullcruncher and Mindwipe. And especially Skullcruncher. Did I mention Skullcruncher? Yeah I want one. Skullcruncher.

So it is Chromedome, his name is "Code" and he's the size of Defender. (link) (link)

BM may not have killed the Brand, but it killed s good chunk of it, and took years for those chunks to comeback to life, now will Beast Hunters be anything like BM? I doubt it. Cause if you do not want to bother with the Beast Hunters Crap, like how I'm not. I can concentrate on Generations inst... read more

a sub line killing the entire brand. that's funny. If Beast Machines lasted 2 years and didn't do it, i don't think Beast Hunters will...

Sorry but you have to plant your feet in order for someone to step on your toes, since Hasbro seems to have zero interest in bringing out new versions of these characters anytime within the next few years (out of the 40 new Generations figures exactly how many are new additions to the previous CHUG... read more

Can we not turn this topic in to A Thing over the sociopolitical ramifications of third party toys?

Haha. And these are stepping on HASBRO's Toes and they own the IP for them. Not sure why you're more worried about them stepping on another 3rd party's toes. That's just silly.

I imagine that it's less mostly because of the lack of die-cast parts

In what may be turning in to a not-unwelcome trend for FansHobby, we have a new list of design tweaks and remolds for one of their upcoming releases. Gunfighter 2, the Optimus Prime-equivalent recolor of their Arch Enemy Scoure/Black Convoy is apparently having a trip back to the design stage to get some new unique parts added. Though none seem to affect the basic functioning of the figure, they add in various ways to the small details of the robot and vehicle modes. A series of before and after images was released, which you can find in our gallery below!
This weekend in China, a toy show took place that saw quite a number of our usual suspect unofficial robot makers displaying their products. Notables include a look at Toyworld's Coolsville, another of the MP-alike Not-Jazzes, Galaxy Meteor from Maketoys, which is an MP-ish take on Cybertron Starscream. Iron Factory had their seekers out, including prototypes for Conehead versions. And we get a look at one of the many, many ...many... unofficial Springers in the Masterpiece style, from OpenPlay. You can find photos of these and more in the gallery below, as well as photographer credits. Keep reading!
New this weekend on the RFC Reviews Youtube channel is a lengthy look at Phoenix from Fans Toys. This new unofficial take on the G1 cartoon's Skyfire design has been anticipated for quite a while. The video spends some time demonstrating just how very large this figure turned out, dwarfing even most official Combiner toys, not to mention other Masterpieces and unofficial equivalents. In the video, diecast makes sure to note this is a testshot piece and does not have a complete accessory loadout, but all the essentials are accounted for. The video is embedded below, so take a look!
It's a surprise to no one at all, Iron Factory has finally revealed the Black Zarak version of their unofficial Scorponok figure, Lord Scorpion. This Dark Matter Version adds the distinctive spear weapon and redesigned helmet to the figure, which along with the redeco makes a good image of Black Zarak. As we eventually learned, Lord Scorpion is only about as big as a chunky Deluxe, but it's hard to deny how attractive this release is - especially if you have a small-scale figure shelf to add it to!
