First Look at Transformers ROTF Rollbar In the Package

By Primus on Wednesday, December 31, 2008

Thanks to TFO8's Yizhi521 who's posted out fist lool at the Rollbar action figure that will be released next year (20098) for the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen feature film.

The new image shows the figure is indeed a scout class figure in the package, with his character summary.

“ROLLBAR is happiest when he‘s following orders. He is uncomfortable with improvisation, and terrified of being put into a leadership position. Despite that, he is a highly skilled navigator, and has a keen mind for tactics, making him an invaluable asset to his commanders. He is extremely strong and tough, and though he prefers not to fight, he can be a challenge to DECEPTICONS many times his size.”

true it is a name thats linked to stuff that tends to be more off road I guess... but it is rather generic as names go but I don't think he is a delivery truck he is based off this the Red Bull Motorsport teams transporter but with the regular Red bull colours or at least I hope it is as its a ... read more

Well, I guess scale is gonna be an issue with a lot of folks, but since I mainly dsiplay my TFs in 'bot mode...I can deal. The main thing that bugs me, though? Why call him "Rollbar"? That's a name for a jeep, dune buggy, or something like that...not a delivery truck.

Maybe those are the eyes of the fallen in the background and the little symbols could be some kind of glyph representing him in the cybertronian language?

This is a real stupid question, but I have to ask it. Is this pretty much saying he's a character in the movie?

they have to make a deluxe or voyager figure for him.

i think this figure looks terrible.. but then again i don't like the scout classed figures. but i am intrigued on what the rest of the class sizes are going to look like in their packaging.

kinda looks like bacteria or some other small thing under a microscope. I did notice one thing behind all the photos and text that looks like the face of SW or those eyes that are on the cover of the new movie comic (forgot who did the cover but its out now *I think*)

I was gonna say with the chest pannels he has an Overlord feel. The alt kinda resembles one of those Micromaster carriers too. Either way, awesome pics, it's nice to see that in a prerelease shot for a change. I also gotta agree with Blitz on the way they're deciding to package the figure as... read more

man that's some sexy packing for the basics and a nice change from the typical style of being packed in their alt modes. also with the wings folded in dare I say he is very prime like it even looks like G1 primes windows are moulded into the wings.
