I do remember Perceptor did in fact use his tank threads on the show to "roll out" with the other Autobots on at least one occasion. EDIT:

ah, perceptor. i used to have the original toy as a kid. alas, i have NONE of my childhood toys in my adulthood. some things had to get left behind and abandoned. i may consider getting this if the look, feel, quality, and price point is right. |

Well I feel massively humbled all of a sudden. I have never seen this figure with the Microman figure riding on top. That's all right. That tank mode isn't very good though. |

It's not a stretch at all. The tank mode was one of the original 3 modes of the 1984 MicroChange MicroScope toy by Takara that Hasbro recolored and rereleased in 1985 as Perceptor.
