S250 of the 2005 Boards has obtained a list from a dealer with what appears to be the first wave of the Transformers Classics line. The list includes the Voyager and Deluxe classes. Voyager: Optimus Prime, and Megatron, which come in 1 case = 4 pcs (2pcs optimus + 2pcs Megatron). Deluxe class: Bumblebee, Astrotrain (3 in 1), Starscream, Hot Rod, which comes in 1 case = 8pcs (each 2pcs). For the suspected Classics line Astrotrain remold figure, head over to this gallery that was posted before.

I hope they make Bumblebee shorter than Astrotrain and Starscream. I mean Red Alert and Hot Shot are deluxes and different sizes.

All the cars should be the same size if they wanna do it right. The original Bumblebee was way too small next to the regular cars. The original Bumblebee should have been the size of the Go-Bots super Bug-Bite.
So,it looks like they might be doing it right this time!

From the looks of Astrotrain, this could be the best TF line since G1 (maybe that's because it is G1 in a way, lol). Let's just hope that Hasbro keeps straight repaints out of this line. This should make up for that whole 10th Anniversary Primal thing.....

Sounds like a great line up, but Astrotrain still doesn't do anything for me. I think he looks worse than the original, not better. Neither of his alt modes are believable (awkward train mode, and visible train parts in shuttle mode, unlike the original which had perfect train and shuttle modes and was able to pull off both in different colors), and the robot mode arms look strange, plus I still have reservations over how the colors will look in each mode. Sorry, but I can't be impressed by a remake of a figure that doesn't look half as good as a figure done 20+ years ago. I'd rather have a remold of the original.

Oh come on! The original Astrotrain had stub arms, and the train mode looked like something out of the 1800's.

The fact that you can look at the original and say that it looks like something out of the 1800's just goes to show how well they executed its design. I can't look at the new Astrotrain's train mode and honestly say it looks like any type of train, futuristic or otherwise, that would be practical.
As for stubby arms, I did say I would take a remold over a redesign, that's obviously one thing I would fix along with articulation, but there's half a dozen things I would fix on the new Astrotrain.
I guess Triplechangers are more than Hasbro and Takara are currently capable of, they should have just made another regular character.

Where the heck did people got the impression that Astrotrain figure is a remold, is clearly an entire new mold.
I'm going to way until I have this figure in my hands to pass judgement. However I'm liking what I seen so far.
This line is going to cost me lots of beer money.

This mold of Astrotrain looks exactly like a Japanese Bullet train, just cut off a bit. They even have 'humped' sections where the class of seat changes that look pretty close to the humped engine section on this figure. So it indeed looks like a real train, not some futuristic design.
To me, it makes sense, as Japanese folks see these trains all over their country on a daily basis. Thusly, it would be more likely to be scanned by transformer for an alt mode.

A definite wait and see on this line.
Megatron as a role-play blaster for some reason is supposed to sound cool. Its just the final execution.
Bumblebee sounds interesting and hopefully its a realstic alt mode/design and not some rehash from the Cybertron line. Man, am I sick of that line!
Seekers are just gonna get repainted, so Starscream is a pass unless the final design is mindblowing.

The Bullet Train mold is just as accurate as his G1 Steam Engine mold. You can see where the wings envelope over, just like in G1. I think this 'classic' mold is just as detailed as the G1 counterpart in terms of accuracy. The only difference is that the 'classic' mold also offers better articulation.

So I'm doing Google searches for the words "bullet train", "Japanese bullet train", and "Shinkansen" and not one of the trains that came up looked remotely like Astrotrain's train mode. No uneven compartments, no "bulging" compartments (a train like that wouldn't fit in the terminal tunnels and there would be no room for two trains to pass each other), and definitely no spoilers or any of that other kibble on the top. These trains are sleek, aerodynamic, and consistently shaped. This Astrotrain's alt mode does NOT represent any real world train. If I'm wrong then prove it with a picture.
The shuttle mode isn't any better, each wing has half of the bullet train front section sitting on it, not to mention windows on the wings. It's going to look like udder crap when it's finally painted. G1 did it right, this guy is all wrong.
