G1 Cassette Tapes Dubbed Encore Daisakusen Vol. 1

By bwbm on Monday, December 22, 2008

Thanks to Mike at Digital Toys, we have learned at the Generation 1 Cassette tapes we learned about last week has been dubbed the Encore Cassette Daisakusen Vol. 1.

Could the Volume 1 nomenclature hint at more cassettes to come?

The set is pre-orderable now at Digital-Toys.com for shipping in March 2009.

50 bucks? WTF? The minibot set was what, $25? For more/better figures? Crap in a hat, I'm pretty sure Encore Soundwave was only $40-50 before they sold out and prices exploded.

i will not be getting these. i was excited at first but the 45 to 47 dollar price point for 4 small figures two of which are repaints of each other is just not worth it. for that price i much rather get 5 deluxes or even to henkei deluxes.

Yeah, that would be awesome! Maybe after that we could get reissue Sparkabots and Action Masters!

I'll likely pick it up. I'll put these Decepticon cassettes with my TRU Soundwave, and take those and carry them around in my pocket for when I'm bored.

I really think that a few of the dinos look cool themselves...but the Combined forms - YUCK! I would totally buy them though

I've only seen a couple pictures of the dino cassettes. I wants them badly.

I'm excited, and even more-so at the prospect of future volumes. As much as I would absolutely love it, I still don't expect to get the four Japanese dino cassettes though.
