Transformers GDO Megatron Out of the Box - Decepticon Leader Samurai Style

By Jack on Sunday, September 30, 2012

Thanks to the Meteor Operation group who have posted a handful of new images showing the Asia exclusive Transformers GDO Megatron action figure. The images show the Decepticon leader Megatron presented samurai style with a green and purple color theme reminiscent of the G1 Constructicons / Devastator team. The figure is a repaint of the original ROTF Bludgeon mold that has since been reduxed as Gigatron and Banzitron and now we see a forth figure with a new head as Megatron!

Stay tuned to Tformers.com for more details as they are made available. Your best resource for all the Transformers news and community every day.

If they would tweek the mold and give him some real feet and hands it could work for Megatron, but not with just a new head and new color . I think Megs as a tank works...but this mold needs way more work to make it work....I can't believe they haven't tried to take this mold and cross it wi... read more

While many will argue that this mold is perfectly acceptable as Banzai-Tron, I maintain that it's ONLY good for Bludgeon, just does not work for anyone else.

If you've recently ordered any Combiner Wars merchandise from site sponsor Robotkingdom, you may have a small delay in your preorder being shipped. The good news is, the delay is to include the new sticker sheet for Defensor and Optimus Maximus! The promotional images only show a few of the stickers applied, but some added detail on your Protectobots and 1984 Team couldn't hurt anything, right? Read on for some images and more details!
Combiner Wars meets Masterpiece in another photo shoot from Gikpa, who has found a way to attach the Masterpiece Bumblebee mold (the G2 variety in this case) to the Combiner Wars Optimus torso, and still getting Legends Rodimus in there too! While the method of combination is not shown in these photos, it's still an interesting and not at all bad looking custom combined form. We've mirrored a few of the photos, but there's many more at Gikpa's Facebook, which you can find linked below. Keep reading to check it all out!
Alex Milne has posted a clean copy of his cover for Sins of the Wreckers #1! The much anticipated followup to the highly-acclaimed Last Stand of the Wreckers will see Nick Roche returning as writer/artist with Josh Burcham as colorist. Milne's cover features Josh Perez on colors - keep reading to see!
The Transformers Official YouTube channel has posted a commerical for Combiner Wars Defensor! Done in the enhanced stop motion style of the previous Superion ad, the commercial features some really nice little touches, like Groove bouncing slightly on Defensor's chest as the combination is completed. Click through to watch!
Autobase Aichi reports that, like Superion and Menasor, there is now a sticker sheet for Combiner Wars Devastator that has appeared in Taiwan! Unlike those sticker sheets, which were available with any sufficiently large purchase, these are only being offered with the purchase of Devastator himself. Hopefully these will find their way to other online retailers as happened with the first set of stickers. Keep reading to see the sheet, the instructions, and some before and after images!
