Transformers GDO Megatron Out of the Box - Decepticon Leader Samurai Style

By Jack on Sunday, September 30, 2012

Thanks to the Meteor Operation group who have posted a handful of new images showing the Asia exclusive Transformers GDO Megatron action figure. The images show the Decepticon leader Megatron presented samurai style with a green and purple color theme reminiscent of the G1 Constructicons / Devastator team. The figure is a repaint of the original ROTF Bludgeon mold that has since been reduxed as Gigatron and Banzitron and now we see a forth figure with a new head as Megatron!

While many will argue that this mold is perfectly acceptable as Banzai-Tron, I maintain that it's ONLY good for Bludgeon, just does not work for anyone else.

Osenator who gave us an in-hand look at the 11-inch Cyber Series Optimus Prime is back with not just photos of the 11-inch Bumblebee, but also a video on his Youtube channel demonstrating the functions of the large, but lower articulation figures so we can finally get a sense of how playable these toys might be. We've got the photos mirrored and the video embedded, so click through to check them all out!
Just in from Robot Kingdom are packaged photos of Brake-neck and Quickslinger, the Combiner Wars versions of Wildrider and Slingshot. New with these shots are clear looks at the bios for both characters. Interestingly the Menasor diagram on Brake-Neck's package still shows Offroad as part of the team while Superion goes for the full classic lineup. Robot Kingdom says they'll start shipping these on May 1st. Keep reading to see the pictures!
Autobase Aichi shared some images from one of the nigh-infinite Japanese toy shows this weekend! At Super Festival 68, Fewture Models showed of ES Gokin Optimus & Rodimus while eHobby had Unite Warriors Grand Scourge on display. We get a close enough look at his sword this time to see its pretty metallic finish. Also, you can see Transformers Cloud figures on sale for about a thousand Yen less than retail. Keep reading to see!
Taking to heart the explained ideas of how Cyclonus functions as the core of a combiner, GIKPA who frequently brings interesting photo shoots has produced a new gallery featuring Galvatronus. Starting off with Cyclonus conscripting several Autobots and Decepticons, we get a look all around look at Galvatronus, leading up to an encounter with an Optimus Prime. We've mirrored a selection of the photos, click through to see them and get a link to the full set.
From the Youtube channel harrisloureiro who we've featured in the past comes another outstanding work of stop-motion toy animation. Transformers Generation features lots of Masterpieces and comparable third party figures in a 15 minute battle sequence that's unbelievably fluid and natural. Reportedly taking six months to complete production, this is worth every moment of your time to check out. Click through to see the embedded video - you'll be glad you did!
