Hasbro will be releasing Generation 1 repaints of Transformers 3 Dark of the Moon leader class Ironhide and Starscream under the Transformers Generations line in July, according to a retailer sheet from Thailand retailer Toys2Mail Station.
These figures were
first introduced to the world at Transformers Cybertron Con 2012 in Singapore this past March in Transformers Dark of the Moon packaging.
However, it now seems that Hasbro has shifted the figures to the Generations line.
Why the change? It could be possible that these figures gained some interest from American retailers.
Earlier this year, it was announced that Transformers 3 Dark of the Moon wave 7 deluxe figures that were detailed at
New York Comic Con 2011 would be
Asia exclusives and did not
receive enough orders in the United States due to lack of interest.
(Only the
Optimus Prime with Trailer figure was released in the U.S.)
If the renewed interest in these figures is indeed the case, putting them in Generations packaging may be a way to give them a new lease on life on shelves on this side of the hemisphere.
These figures are scheduled for a July 2012 release.

For 2013, Hasbro announced that
40 figures will be released in the Transformers Generations line and will add
Legion and Voyager classes to the previously deluxe-only line.
It seems that these two figures are a pre-cursor to Leader class figures making it to the line as well.
