SDCC 2015 Transformers Convention News Transformers Devastator Week!
More Generation 1 Japan News
This week's episode of QTransformers II is titled something like "The Road To Explaining The Movie Very Well," and it will probably not surprise you to learn that this week's fourth `bot is none other than Rodimus! Since it's in Japanese there's no telling for most of us just how well they explained The Transformers: The Movie ...but Lockdown doesn't seem to respond to their explanations very well. Thanks to Deruji for providing a translation, everyone can now hear some of designer Shogo Hasui's insights towards the development of Devastator, as detailed in the recent issue of Figure King magazine. Among the more interesting points is confirmation of fan theories that Devastator, at least to Hasui, is also effectively a stand-in for a Masterpiece version of the character. There's a lot of great material in here, so click through to read more!
This week, it seems like everyone on the QTransformers II animation team had the week off except for the poor background designer, as the animation is even more limited than usual. We assume the writers also took off and let a Capcom PR writer take over, as this episode seems to be Bumblebee, Optimus Prime, Lockdown, and Tracks sitting around talking about how much they like the Sengoku Basara series of video games. Keep reading and you'll see what we mean!
Thanks to Snakas who has shared over 70 images from the Summer Wonderfest 2015 going on in Japan this weekend. The latest round of images gives us our best look at the Diaclone Reboot figures yet with a new video. We also get to see some new angles on Masterpiece Ironhide, Tracks and Road Rage. Additonally, Blackarachnia and many of the Takara Legends Series toys along with Prime 1 Studio, Q Evangelion, Transformers Gokin, and more Images
It's Monday, so that means it's time for another episode of QTransformers II! This week, the Decepticons seemingly lament not being as popular as the Autobots, and an amusingly deep-voiced Starscream has some ideas about that. Click through to watch!
