"Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" Tyrese Gibson says that Director "Michael Bay is definitely giving [Sergeant] Epps a lot of love in this one [the film]."
In a recent press junket for his upcoming film "Death Race," Mr. Gibson tells
Dark Horizons that this time around, "I am at the top of my class. I am the highest-ranking officer of my class. So it's exciting."
While we know from a recent interview with
Matthew Marsden that Sergeant Epps will be part of a multi-national force along with Captain Lennox (played by Josh Duhamel) and British Special Forces Officer Graham (Mr. Marsden), we did not know the extent of how much of a role the group plays in terms of robot interaction.
However, Mr. Gibson shined some light on it for us: "I've been interacting with robots. Most of the conversation with robots [in the first film] was with Shia's character. I've had a few conversations [in the second film] with robots. It's real interesting."
Mr. Gibson says that the film is going "full throttle" and there is plenty of action left to be filmed, despite the film hitting its halfway mark of the
84-day shooting schedule.
"We're doing the night thing right now and then we're going back to Alamogordo, [New Mexico] white sands to do some more of that rock star stuff out there," he says. "The stakes is just a thousand times higher."
After filming in New Mexico, Mr. Gibson says principal photography will head overseas. ""I'm hearing Jordan and a few other locations."
Mr. Gibson also says that "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" this time around is going to be "crazier" and "angrier." It will also have "bigger explosions" and "more robots."
A scriptwriter on the sequel to last summer's blockbuster Roberto Orci has said before that there will be
ten robots per faction.
