Hard To Get Japanese Dino Cassettes Continue To Be Hard To Get As Hasbro Pulse Cancels Preorders

The reissues of Noise and Graphy - or Noizu and Gurafi - were an amazing reveal during SDCC, being the first time since the 80s that the pair of formerly Japan-exclusive cassettes would be available again. Unfortunately, things haven't gone quite as smoothly as we may have hoped.

We've heard reports now that Hasbro Pulse is canceling preorders for the set that have been waiting to be fulfilled ever since the (already delayed) release date of September 16th. From the look of things, if you had these on order and they didn't get filled on or about the release day, you might be out of luck. Affected customers are receiving e-mail notices about the problem, along with a code good for $10 credit on Pulse. That's probably little consolation for collectors expecting to finally add a true rarity to their collections.

So far, Pulse has not removed the product page for the set, which also included a special deco release of Frenzy (the blue one). Most other "permanently sold out" items vanish from the store quickly. However, if orders are being actively canceled due to inability to fill, and credits being issued, it seems unlikely that these will restock soon - if ever.

I've seen that the packaging is misprinted. when you flip it around, Frenzy's info is on the side of the card with the other cassettes are.

Well, this goes to show you that Takara got sick of Hasbro's scrupulous practices....and now they got caught up. The big break is just showing its wounds.

They really seem to have messed this one up. My Frenzy was defective (his head was not "ejecting" properly). I was told that this was a widespread problem and was given conflicting information as to whether there would be any replacement stock.
