As the date on the calendar gets closer to August 28, 2012, the game makers are teasing more and more out of the game to keep the buzz going.

Today, the buzz probably went a little higher than that when Insecticon Hardshell was unveiled - it might be a coincidence that Hardshell will also show up in Transformers Prime this weekend

Not much is known about the character at this point, including whether he will be playable in the game.

What we do know is that Hardshell (the alternate name of Bombshell, an Insecticon in the Generation 1 series) joins fellow Insecticon Kickback in the game.

The latter will get the figure treatment and will be released in the first deluxe wave of the Transformers Generations line in 2013.

The Kickback figure was revealed during BotCon 2012 and was prominently on display in the cases.

While not specifically alluded to during the Hasbro presentation, the figure was displayed in three different modes, leading us to believe that this planned this figure to be a triple-changer from the get-go.

Future waves will most likely be revealed at San Diego Comic Con 2012, scheduled to take place the first week of July, so stay tuned for new Transformers Generations developments then.
