Hasbro Answers Your Burning Questions Part IV!

By bwbm on Wednesday, June 03, 2009

Now that Hasbro has freed itself from the preparation and happenings of BotCon, they have provided us with the answer to our burning questions part IV!

TFormers.com: Will newly-introduced Transformers Animated characters from Season 3 such as Rodimus Prime or Strika be produced for the toyline?
Hasbro: While we can't comment on which specific characters will be available in the toy line, there are definitely a few that debuted in Season 3 of the Animated Series. [From BotCon 2009, we have since learned that Rodimus will indeed get a figure -ed]

Do you ever check out fan forums like TFormers.com, for customization ideas?
Considering the amazing stuff that fans create with mostly minor modifications & paint on existing molds it would seem like an excellent source of leads to expand the product lines while heavily reusing existing components.

As a team we often review many of the fan forums to keep our finger on the pulse of our collectors, but we do not and cannot use ideas from our fan base. We know that our fans come up with some great ideas especially when they coincide with where we are taking the brand!

Can we expect to see a "Premium" figure series in the upcoming movie line similar to the line from the 2007 film?
At the moment, there are no plans to offer a premium series line. Rather than offering more new decos of existing molds, you can expect to see more new molds in the realistic movie styling than you did in Spring of 2008 following the first film.

We are dedicated to being to be the best resource for all your Transformers news and reviews every day. Keep your browser dialed to Tformers.com for updates as they happen.

Hot Toys posted images to their Facebook of an articulated non-transforming version of G1 Optimus Prime that, for some reason, is wearing Starscream's wings. The Special Edition bonus part, a tradition of Hot Toys releases... is Starscream's severed head. The wings are removable however, and Hot Toys makes some very attractive, elaborate figures- so if you've been wanting a really big modern remake of Action Master Optimus Prime, you're in luck. Keep reading for the full photo gallery and official announcement!
First contact between Cybertron and Earth (as represented by GI Joe) didn't go so well. Second contact is coming... and it couldn't be any worse, right? "I Saw Three Ships" is written by Tom Scioli and John Barber, with art, colors, and lettering by Scioli. Continue to full review
No one can deny, Hasbro have been putting pedal to the metal rolling out a TON of new Transformers Age of Extinction products this year. According to the latest report from MarketWatch, Hasbro's Transformers sales increased 32% to bring a hefty $335.8 million in sales for the last quarter. This was backed up by strong sales for My Little Pony as well, but didn't help Hasbro meet Wall street expectations due to weak sales from games and pre-school products that are losing out to the mobile apps market. Read on for more details on Hasbro's latest earnings.
Happy Friday! This week Retro Robot Radio and TFormers.com start the Ladybird Books stories with the first in the series, Autobots' Lightning Strike by science fiction author John Grant from 1985. In this story the Autobots attempt to harness the power of a lightning storm, but the Decepticons can't be far behind can they? Art in this book is done by Mike Collins (Marvel Comics artist) and Mark Farmer (Marvel and DC comic artist).
