Hasbro Answers Your Burning Questions Part IV!

By bwbm on Wednesday, June 03, 2009

Now that Hasbro has freed itself from the preparation and happenings of BotCon, they have provided us with the answer to our burning questions part IV!

TFormers.com: Will newly-introduced Transformers Animated characters from Season 3 such as Rodimus Prime or Strika be produced for the toyline?
Hasbro: While we can't comment on which specific characters will be available in the toy line, there are definitely a few that debuted in Season 3 of the Animated Series. [From BotCon 2009, we have since learned that Rodimus will indeed get a figure -ed]

Do you ever check out fan forums like TFormers.com, for customization ideas?
Considering the amazing stuff that fans create with mostly minor modifications & paint on existing molds it would seem like an excellent source of leads to expand the product lines while heavily reusing existing components.

As a team we often review many of the fan forums to keep our finger on the pulse of our collectors, but we do not and cannot use ideas from our fan base. We know that our fans come up with some great ideas especially when they coincide with where we are taking the brand!

Can we expect to see a "Premium" figure series in the upcoming movie line similar to the line from the 2007 film?
At the moment, there are no plans to offer a premium series line. Rather than offering more new decos of existing molds, you can expect to see more new molds in the realistic movie styling than you did in Spring of 2008 following the first film.

Stay tuned to Tformers.com for more details as they are made available. Your best resource for all the Transformers news and community every day.

Japanese retailer Amiami has posted a pretty substantial collection of images for the upcoming D-Style Convoy model kit. The Optimus Prime with Super Deformed stylings includes Prime's rifle, Axe, and of course the Matrix of Leadership. Which is to say nothing of the adorably tiny Truck Mode Optimus Prime you get as a bonus. And there's even a preview image of the upcoming D-Style Megatron! Keep reading to see 22 new photos!
Via their Twitter, The Loyal Subjects have teased the existence of a vinyl based on G1 Jetfire. While little specific detail is given along with it, a fan's drawing noting itself as a wave 4 prediction was included, which TLS's Twitter representative acknowledged as being on to something. If this is our first look at a piece from wave 4, Jetfire would be in a very early state of production, leaving the odd hole in the side as either a by-product of that, or perhaps a feature yet to be revealed. Check out the original tweet and full image below!
Singapore fan group Planet Iacon posted a link to a Vine showing the transformation of Mega Drive Megatron, the figure that combines the Decepticon leader quite appropriately with the Sega Genesis' Blast Processing. It's a simple affair, just as you'd likely expect from a rectangle. But a really nice looking rectangle! Keep reading to see for yourself!

New pictures of Ultimetal Optimus Prime have surfaced on Twitter, and they give a much better sense of just how much robot $800 gets you. Coming up to Metroplex's torso-boxes and standing head and shoulders above even the original, larger MP-1 Optimus Prime, you have to figure that the price of the figure isn't too bad if you figure it by the pound...
