Hasbro, Inc. announced their
first quarter sales results today and it was a very good quarter with the company's net revenue jumping 13%, or $704.2 million, from the same time last year.
Net revenues overseas fared even better, with a 22%, or $248.3 million, increase.
All brands across the board increased in sales, Hasbro said, with Transformers, among others, leading the charge.
"We had a strong 2007 and the momentum continues in 2008, with growth driven primarily by TRANSFORMERS and LITTLEST PET SHOP, as well as PLAYSKOOL, STAR WARS, BABY ALIVE, MY LITTLE PONY and board games," President and Chief Executive Officer Alfred J. Verrecchia said in the press release.

Must be all that money they saved by repainting old movie figures instead of coming up with new ones... *rimshot* |
