Yesterday Hasbro held it's annual Investor Day event, and one of the things they said during the presentation was that Transformers Prime would be their central focus in 2012 for Transformers. They go on to say that the show had over 9 million unique viewers in the US and was the number 1 show on Cartoon Network in the UK.

They don't specifically mention to toys but they do say in 2012 there will be new product, marketing, digital gaming, retail execution and a complete licensing program wrapped around Prime. They also showed this slide depicting Prime toys on retail end caps.



This would lend credence to the news we reported earlier this week about a "First Edition Line" being sold exclusively online this year and that we should expect to see regular Prime toys out in full force by next year at general

Another Transformers product mentioned during the Investor Day event was something they called "Transformers Bot Shots". They didn't provide many details for this, but did describe it as a "action-battlers" game which they put in the same category as the recently announced Star Wars Fighter Pods products.
