Big Bad Toy Store has let us know that C-06 will be the designation for the Skyfire/Jetfire figure for theTransformation! Henkei! Transformers line, TakaraTomy's version of Hasbro's Transformers: Classics.
While it's safe to say that the figure will be subjected to some chrome treatment like its other Henkei!
series mates, not much else is known about the figure except it is slated for a July 2008 release.

*I hope* they chrome the red sections of the paint apps on the wings like the sonic bomber from the sonic convoy set but I'm guessing its just going to be a small section like the red parts of his arm guns |

Other way around. Figueroa based the design of Stormbringer Jetfire on Classics Jetfire, so the implication that you made, that the toy was based on Stormbringer's Jetfire, isn't quite to the point. I'm guessing we'll see black chrome (if that's possible) guns, Autobot insignia on the outside wings, and maybe a more G1 faithful paint pattern. Pretty much what they did for Starscream. Nothing exciting, not worth the import price. |

Hasbro didn't? I think Classics Jetfire with Macross logos all over him would be 1) lame, and 2) a possible copyright violation. I'm not anticipating a huge change with this guy. |

Yep, from the pics we've seen so far it seems like Henkei! Astrotrain has purple chrome engines. So far it;s the only TT Classics chrome job that makes sense, save maybe Prime's grill. |

Someone said that he had the purple chrome, by the shuttle engines, IIRC. Won't know for sure until the actual product comes out, though. |
