2014 marks the 30th Anniversary of Hasbro’s TRANSFORMERS, which has been celebrated thus far with a blockbuster film and critically acclaimed comic series’ from IDW. But the party isn’t quite over as IDW still has some TRANSFORMERS debuts this year! The long-running TRANSFORMERS comic, which originally appeared in 1984, came to an epic conclusion as, TRANSFORMERS: Regeneration One by IDW reached its 100th issue!
Game Audio Lab has posted a page detailing their work on the Asian mobile device game Transformers: Rising. The game is DeNA's top source of revenue in China this year, and Game Audio Lab worked to design a unique music and sound effects package that maintained a stylistic tie to existing media. They've posted samples of five music tracks from the game so you can check out a portion of the work they contributed to the project. Keep reading for the link and details from the page!
Via Twitter User @chimichanga345, we have screengrabs of a Japanese TV show where a robotics team can be seen rolling out their very own Convoy/Optimus Prime robot! While not full-size, it's still a pretty impressive bit of engineering. Keep reading to see the photos!
Via their instagram account, The Loyal Subjects has announced upcoming figures exclusive to Gamestop. There will be six figures total, and so far three have been shown, including Red Alert, Slag, and a special deco of Optimus Prime. These figures are due to hit for Black Friday according to a response from The Loyal Subjects in the comments of one photo. The New York Times' Dealbook reports that Hasbro has ended talks with Dreamworks about the possibility of acquiring the company. The big kicker is said to have been a 5% drop in Hasbro's stock price when the acquisition rumor went public - significant because Hasbro was seeking to pay a combination of cash and company stock for the studio. Also, as some predicted, Disney seems not to have taken kindly to the idea of Hasbro buying their biggest animated competitor. Keep reading for more details!
