iGear Toys Teases Again About Robot Dinosaurs - Will They Return for 2013?

By Jack on Wednesday, December 05, 2012

iGear Toys announced they would be doing some Robot Dinosaurs this year but that apparently is not going to happen with just weeks left in 2012. For whatever reason, GreatToysOnline.com
with iGear have re-posted the same image announcing "Dinosaurs in 2012" with a line drawing showing a robot T-Rex design. If anything, it would make a lot of sense to see iGear work on the rest of the Dinobots characters. Is there more than meets the eye to this toys? Stay tuned for more news at is happens.

Anything bigger than a voyager is a waste on plastic and money to me. At the largest they should be the size of Hegemon.

New tonight via their Facebook page, Play With This Too has shared several photos of their newly painted prototype of Jetstrike, their figure based on Starscream's Pretender shell. This figure build is noted to include a new abdomen piece to increase poseability of the assembled figure. Information regarding their renewed Kickstarter campaign is expected to be released this month, so stay tuned for more updates. Meanwhile, keep reading to see the new photos.
Thanks again to gianchengphoto on Weibo, we have more great photos of one of Generation Toy's upcoming unofficial Constructicons. Their Scrapper analogue is seen not just in numerous comparisons with official Masterpiece figures, but also side by side with its counterpart from TFC's Hercules set. As a final note, the last photo in the batch shows apparent rubber tires, with one pulled free from the wheel rim. There's lots of photos to see, so click though and have a look!
We just recently saw photos showing final or near-final samples of Generation Toy's first two unofficial Constructicon figures which already painted both in a favorable light. Today we have more photos from guanchengphoto on Weibo which go to even greater lengths in making these figures really stand out and look great. It's debatable how necessary these are at this point, but if you're still looking for that perfect Devastator, these are sure giving it a good try! Click through for the mirrored photos.
On their Facebook page, Voodoo Robots has posted a few new photos showing that their Ratchet-derived figure Salus is close to being ready to head out for sale. While the images note final colors may vary still, it has a very complete looking deco and is presenting quite a bit more strongly than the testshots seen at Botcon this summer. Keep reading to check it out!
It is truly the age of combiners, as now to balance the scales tipping towards the various Devastators, we have a new player turning up to give Menasor a shot. TransFormMission has posted prototype photos of Breakdown and Wildrider, showing them in robot forms in some detail, and vehicle forms in various groupings. They also provided a size comparison to Masterpiece Sideswipe to give a sense of the intended scale. A largely greyed over diagram of their intended Menasor was posted as well, which we've enhanced for better visibility. Click through to see it all!
