In-Hand Images of Transformers Dark of the Moon Soundwave

By Jack Q on Wednesday, November 16, 2011

Thanks to eBay and Taobao auctions we have new in-hand looks at images of the soon to be released Transformers Dark of the Moon Soundwave deluxe class action figures.

Arguably, the best deluxe figure to come out of the DOTM line, Soundwave is loaded with all kinds of win from the sexy Mercedes SLS AMG Alternate mode to the big honkin' mech tech weapon.

This figure would be 10 out of 10 if it wasn't for the gastly underside of the alternate mode. Check out the images after the break to share your comments on this figure.

This. I don't mind that you see tons underneath in altmode, but that dull cheap gray really sucks. Especially since the head is silver :<

He looks pretty good to me, but in keeping with what I've been doing for most of the DOTM line I think I'll wait for the inevitable blue repaint.

Much better legs than the HA Soundwave. Simpler, in this case, is better.

I really want to like this figure basically that now since I have the leader Starscream, figures like Soundwave as well as voyager Megs are almost near to scale of Starscream...it would be a cool display in my case. But looking at the toy well it just seems so simple and really underwhelming. I'... read more

He doesn't seem as broad in the shoulders as the movie/game CGI model. Otherwise sweet.

I usually buy two, but I think I'll just get one and keep it sealed.

I wanted to pick this guy up, but I will pass and hopefully find the HA Soundwave. On a positive note I am glad that he finally got a "Real" alt mode.

He looks decent but he really needs paint job in a bad way. That dull grey plastic isn't working. If they wanted to be cheep. They could have at least gone with a metallic looking grey like they did for Movie 1 Jazz. I would like to see the Takara version or a repaint of him.

CNBC raises an excellent point about the potential purchase of Dreamworks that we reported on earlier in the day. One of the reasons that people have felt a Hasbro/Disney merger was sensible and likely is how much of Hasbro's business is tied up with Disney's. Piper Jaffray Analyst Steph Wissink estimates that amount at between a quarter and a third of Hasbro's business... so how would that affect a potential purchase of Disney's chief competitor in the animated film trade? Keep reading for an excerpt of the article and a link to the article itself!

Thanks to ausretrogamer.com we've learned that the Sega Genesis "Mega Drive Megatron" figure has been delayed until October. Originally intended for a release this month, we've confirmed through retailers that the projected release now falls to an unspecified point in October, most likely during the last week of the month. Those wishing to have Megatron lead a video game revolution in their homes will sadly have to wait just a bit longer!
