By Jack on Tuesday, October 02, 2012

Thanks to TFW board member Mondo has shared some new in-hand images of Asia exclusive Transformers GDO Starscream and Ironhide Leader class action figures. Both toys are shown out of the box with close ups on their in-box and robot modes. These figures are repaints of Hunt For The Decepticons leader class toys that are shipping now from Robotkingdom and other online retailers.

Ironhide looks great, though I wish the tires were black instead of gray. Starscream looks hideous in robot mode. The G1 deco did not translate well to the movie character at all. I probably won't get either, as I already have the black version of Ironhide, and I really don't like the movi... read more

eh still debating on these, passed these up for the Christmas Insecticons, but might still get these, hopefully Hasbro would use what little intelligence they have and release them in the states

Blades is an aerial fighter who favors short-range and melee combat - if you want to call melee combat using your rotors to shred your opponent. Armed with Rescue Missiles and a photon rifle that clearly sports bullets down one side, Blades' long bio reads like he'd be entirely at home in a robot Jackie Chan movie, which is only reinforced by the short bio referring to his fighting style as "Copter Kung-Fu." Continue to the review!
Surprising no one, except maybe that it's not Acid Storm or something first, DecepticusPrime has found a store inventory listing for a Leader Class Skywarp, completing the trio from Thundercracker and Starscream. At this point it's most likely going to coincide with the first wave of 2016 Combiner Wars product, though as early as Magnus has hit, it could surprise us. And while Starscream comes with the distinctive crown, there's no indication if Skywarp will have a flight of stairs to push other figures down.
Appropriately enough, Weibo user Starscream韋 has posted images of the upcoming Combiner Wars Leader-class Starscream! Starscream is a recolor of Thundercracker... who is himself a remold of Jetfire. But he's got a new hat! And it is crown-shaped. Keep reading to see Starscream!
A Weibo user has posted more new images of Combiner Wars Titan Devastator, and you may not be surprised at all to learn that previous Titan-class release Metroplex is still much taller than the Constructicon combiner. To some, it's probably a relief! Additional photos show off a few of the individual Constructicons as well - keep reading to see!
While we didn't get the anticipated images of the Windblade to finish the trio, we do have some looks at the Combiner Hunters-deco Arcee in new detail. With a slightly better look at the paint on the face, the real news is the revelation of remolded hands. This release at least will see normal 5mm compatible hands versus the slot-style seen originally. This of course lends better to carrying the Beast Hunters sword seen in the comic cover art, but may leave Arcee less able to use the original accessories. Click through and check it out.
