Kreon Upgrade Kit Adds Limb Extensions for More Articulation Then Meets the Eye

By Wu Long Ti on Monday, November 12, 2012

These arrived on my birthday and they fit awesome! I need to make a few minor tweaks to the knee connectors (shave off one of the pegs) and the hands.

The hands had the column for the axle filled in with either support or WST material and I ended up "drilling" them out using the sharpened end of a straight paper clip. it was terrifying. I then cut pieces of paper clip to length and used as axles for the finger joints.

It worked, but I can't expect anybody that goes for this kit to do the same so I'm going to have to work out another solution. I might try a half ball/recess friction connection but I worry that it will keep popping out.

Other than that, this is working exactly how I wanted :D

Joints are articulated enough for a 3 point landing (the Ironman pose)

Well, 18 months after posting their first teaser, we have out first look at TW-D01 (not Snarl, who looks finished) and TW-D02 (not Sludge, seen as a prototype) - In COMBINED MODE! Amazingly these combiners seem to be taking their positions on the combiner as legs just like the TFC Toys Star Rescue Team dinosaur combiner, but they are clearly a more G1 accurate homage. Their web site still says that the entire team is scheduled for 2014 release.
Robot Kingdom has posted a video of X2Toys' upcoming Firing Pin figure (based on onetime Wreckers leader Impactor) which features a working springloaded pellet cannon, complete with loading system and hopper for semi-automatic fire. The hopper is detachable, and the loading system is disguised as one of Impactor's other weapons- simply fill it, slide it over the hopper, and the gun is loaded. Keep reading to see the video, plus renders and in-progress photos!
X-Transbots have posted their final production images for the Hoss figure that is a homage to the GoBot Road Ranger character. Get a look at thee figure out of the box with looks at the packaging, robot and vehicle modes for the full preview now.

Cubex has reformed as Bad Cube, and has announced their first product: OTS-02 Brawny. Continuing the almost-but-not-quite naming scheme from Cubex's OTS-01 Huff, Brawny is being produced with help from a new factory and lessons learned from Huff's design and production. Keep reading for the first images of Brawny!
