"Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" Director Michael Bay has admitted that Shia LaBeouf's hand surgery stemming from his recent car accident has set the film back.

ENewsI reports that before the accident that required "extensive surgery" on Mr. LaBeouf's hand, Mr. Bay had warned the main star of his movie to be take care while driving on the roads.

While Mr. LaBeouf is expected to return to work "within the month," Mr. Bay says, "His [Mr. LaBeouf's] two fingers are pretty mashed, but we're figuring out a way to shoot around it, kind of write it in the story."
