Looks At MP-08 Grimlock, Brain Transfer Device, Sword

By bwbm on Thursday, October 30, 2008

Thanks to Mike at Digital Toys, we some new looks at Masterpiece MP-08 Grimlock. The image provides a first look at the brain wave transfer device accessory, which we reported about last week. The image also gives a closer look at the "waiter mode," sword, and the figure's tail. Take a look now at Digital-Toys.com.

Oh boy. Another $100+ Leader Class Fig w/extras. I wanna smack myself every time I look at MP Screamer.

Actually, objects which are closer to a camera than a further off object in the image used for reference, are than they appear in the image. In this case, however, the slight angle has provided an accurate image to base scale off of. The size of G1 and MP Prime are accurate in the above photo, j... read more

(link) If your basing your height off this pic, Optimus G1 is standing a few inches closer then... read more

I agree that the figures should be as close to "in scale" within a line as possible (assuming there's only one price point per character). But there are two reasons that I don't think that's a big deal... 1) A 'Masterpiece' line should have VERY FEW figures. Sure thr... read more

Which I think helps drive home LM's "MPs should have started and stopped with Prime" theory. MP Prime is huge. Yet if we look at MP as just an other line, then there are going to be characters that have to be AT LEAST Prime's height (like Grimlock). Of course Prime being so hug... read more

No matter your 'scientific' screw-holes measuring, it's obvious from the comparison pic with G1 Prime that there's NO WAY it'll be bigger than MP Prime. Do you own one? Do you know how gargantuan he and MP Megatron actually are?

I would prefer Voyager-sized, but anything shorter then MP Prime will do
