Do you have a receipt for this? Because MP Hot Rod isn't even listed yet. Proof or it never happened.

$129?! I got mine for 59.00 free shipping from ToysRUs.com, SON! If MP Rodimus is a penny over 70.00, ship that pile of fail back to the sweatshops - and tell 'em Uncle Sam said no more lunch breaks till next Chinese New Year - the Year of Quality Control, trickazzez! I said ... read more

So we can agree that it will most likely be more than $100 and less than $200??!

Except it's Toys R Us selling it. So it could happen.

Hsbro would probably charge $100, it's hard to say since Optimus was never offered with his trailer.

But that's the one from Takara-Tomy, which has a mark-up from online stores. One made by Hasbro would not cost $200.

Because theTakara one is $200 on BBTS and TF Source

It wouldn't cost $200. Why does everyone think that?

Yeah, but they're asking 16.99 apiece for the TRU Deluxe Animated Exclusives right now, so I wouldn't put it past 'em. :/

Well, if the US is the only country that doesn't get the trailer, it means that TRU isn't sold that US buyers will pay $200 for the figure... especially in this economy.

More Generation 1 Japan News
Finally (for now) on our Tokyo Toy Show tour is a small display of the Infobar phone Transformers under the au X Transformers label. These photos don't appear to show us anything new, but do indicate the project is still moving along. We presume at this point whatever crowdfunding obligation was required to keep this afloat was met, and these items will eventually see a release of some manner. Check out the photos from AmiAmi Hobby News below.
This Far Out Friday is a going to be a bit shorter than the others, as its all about these odd Generation 1 mid-Formers sold exclusively in Japan. Starting in 1986 as the "Gokin" series, then revived as the Takara "TF Jr" (Transformers Junior) series in 1987. You may have seen the Optimus Prime figure without realizing it because they looks pretty good at first sight. While smaller, they are actually very clever simplified re-designs of the full the sized toys.

First come first serve until stock last!
Before the great revival of Transformers following the Hollywood movies. New products were few and far between. With only a handful of new properties like Beast Wars, Beast Machines and the new Car Robots cartoon, fans were still holding tight to their Generation 1 characters and toys. Thus, when Takara began their Super Collection Figures (SCF) series offering renditions of G1 characters. Fans were ecstatic to connect again with their favorite characters.
Japanese site figsoku is reporting on a new licensed Transformers project. Japanese mobile phone provider au is working on a series of Transformers using its Infobar handsets as new alt modes for Optimus Prime, Megatron, and Bumblebee. All share the same physical design, but each have a different deco reflecting one of the standard colorations available on the real Infobar phone. The catch? This is a crowd funded plan, with a fundraising period from February 1 to March 30. So it's up in the air if these will happen at all. We have stills from a promo video, plus some publicity images, so keep reading to take a look.
