Transformers MMO From NetDragon Officially Launches in China - Looks at Character and Weapon Images

Developer NetDragon have launched the China-only Transformers: Online massively multiplayer third person shooter (MMOTPS). This game that is not to be confused with the Transformers Universe, in development by Jagex.

The just launched game is aimed at the PC platform with a different focus on the Transformers Universe using their own regionally deigned game engine that is for Asian players only.

The site has launched with a new trailer and some wallpapers you can see after the jump. We get a look at Optimus Prime, Megatron, Bumblebee, Defensor, what appears to be Blurr and some other unnamed characters.

We also get as look at the weapons these guys can handle. There's quite a few of them that we're not entirely sure which belongs to who or how these weapons are obtained. However, you can see in the wallpaper images that some of the Transformers are using them.

Joe Moscone, formerly the PR agent that handled Hasbro's entertainment brands such as Transformers, GI Joe, etc., is auctioning off his collection of figure for charity. For the benefit of Receptions For Research: The Greg Olsen Foundation, Moscone is auctioning off a fairly impressive collection heavy on convention and SDCC exclusives. During the long development cycle of Jagex's Transformers universe, a great deal of secondary media was created to support it. One company contracted to do some of that work, Mi, has come forward to reveal their hand in that process, samples of motion comic "episodes" that would have been used to advertise and promote the then-upcoming game. Jagex's Transformers Universe game has run the course of its short life, but the project had a lot of art designed for it, and the artists that contributed have been posting their work for all to see. We have a range of pieces from Oliver Miles and Sam Beattie including elements that never had a chance to be used in the game. Transformers Universe, the online multiplayer game from Jagex is quite dead, and artist Tom Stockwell has posted several pieces of art related to character designs used or intended for use in the short-lived game. The depicted characters generally have a Mentor title denoting non-playable and generally previously established characters like Arcee or Megatron. It's a good look at some reinterpretations within the Prime style, and some completely new takes. Keep reading to see it all!
