A video has been posted showing the process of upgrading Combiner Wars Devastator with parts from a testshot of the X2Toys add on. Interestingly while providing almost entire new forearms and hands, the kit still calls for the original wrist plates to be used with the new parts. Otherwise everything seems a simple matter of snapping pieces on during the combination process. The video was originally posted to the Miaopai service, but we've mirrored it to Youtube for easy viewing. Click through to watch!
Stanley Cheung on Facebook has shared some new photos of Master Made's Diabolus Rex prototype, which was shown at a retailer's booth at NYCC this past week. This round of photos gives us some different looks at the figure from extra angles, as well as taking a couple close shots of the little Megatron buddy figure that will be included. Our thanks to the uncredited original source for taking these new shots! Click through to check them out.
Beelzeboss has posted on their Weibo page to give some updates on their kit to make Combiner Wars Optimus better resemble IDW's character design. They're released a color image of the added parts on Optimus, and not stopping there have revealed a kit colored for eHobby Grand Scourge, Unleashed Fury, and a teaser for a Nova Prime, Fanatic Lord to be used with Battle Core Optimus. They also posted a photo of G1 Thunderclash between these reveals, perhaps implying an additional intent. Keep reading to see all three images.
Wotafa on Youtube has posted a new video looking at an early sample of DX9's Tyrant unofficial Masterpiece Galvatron. While the Titans Return Voyager Galvatron seems to be giving some people pause, this video shows that this unofficial effort still has plenty to offer, and is looking like a very solid stab at the character. The video is of course fully in Japanese, but the visuals are very self-explanatory, giving a good overview of Tyrant through both modes and the surprisingly uncomplicated transformation. We've got some new photos in of a project underway from a group calling themselves "Second Chance", showing what's said to be a Voyager-equivalent scale Shockwave based on the Fall of Cybertron design. Seen alongside its official Deluxe counterpart, it's clear the Second Chance figure is both taller and more substantially proportioned. And from weibo user citssd we have a look at an Optimus done up to the same scale. No release info is available currently, but these should be good news to people not quite satisfied with the FOC Generations line. Keep reading to see all the images.
