Transformers: More Than Meets The Eye Ongoing Issue 14 and 15 Covers by Alex Milne

By Jack on Sunday, December 23, 2012

Alex Milne has posted a little Xmas gift to deviantART page giving us previews of the Transformers: More Than Meets The Eye Ongoing comic book cover art. Check out the inks and colors for issues numbers 14 and 15. Check out the fantastic art that features the Ultra Magnus, Overlord and some other mystery guests below for more details.
this is the cover to MTMTE 15. its basically everything that could go wrong with overlord on the ship happening. will it play out this way, who will know. you'll just have to pick up the issue to find out :p
poor ultra magnus. he's not having a good day. a gut punch and an arm ripped off. ratchet will have his work cut out for him. good thing they picked up a few more medics back in issue 5 ;p
so this cover has drift impaled by his own sword. brawn has one of his forearms chopped off, but is spoting a nice pair of brass knuckles so he can pay overlord back. rodimus is firing on overlord while skids is trying to hold onto him and get a head shot in. i wounder if he will???? in the background we have crosshairs, pointblank, and boos. i put them in there to show more of the crew of the lost light

this cover is a bit different from the ones i normally do. i had lots of fun with it. basically in the solicitations for this comic, it tells of a characters with needles making the biggest mistake of his life. well if you put 2 and 2 together i think we can work out who the character is.
so we have chromedome and he's doing his special skill on overlord. good idea? i don't think so.
with this cover i wanted to give overlord a very psychotic look. i pleased with how it turned out
the awesomesauce of mr Josh Perez was used to color up this bad boy. i love how it turned out. all i said to him was i want it to look creepy. well i think he did that and more. i can't look at it for too long. it creeps me out

More Generation 1 News
Hasbro's Transformers site has updated with a new listing page for the Generations Platinum series Triplechangers set. The unusually recolored Astrotrain and Blitzwing now have a suggested retail price, although still no official word on what their coloring is based on. In the United States, this pack is set to run $65.99, putting it a little below the cost of the Insecticon Platinum three-pack. As of now no word on where this will turn up at retail, but it's bound to make an appearance before too long! Click through for a link back to the official product page!
I should probably apologise for that click-bait title, but it does represent the topic of this article quite well. It’s impossible to go one year on an active Transformers forum without seeing at least one discussion about the rarest Transformers of all time.
Paul Dini has tweeted that writer and producer Roger Slifer has died of injuries sustained in a hit-and-run accident in 2012. Slifer, credited as an associate producer on Seasons 2 and 3 of the G1 cartoon and associate story consultant, also wrote the live-action segments featuring Tommy Kennedy used for G1's stint as a Saturday-morning cartoon. Slifer's non-Transformers credits include co-creating Lobo at DC Comics, and being immortalized as the localization name for one of Yu-Gi-Oh!'s three Egyptian God Cards. The tweet can be viewed along with links for more information by continuing to the full story.
Hobby Brinquedos, the same source that brought us the new images of Cyber Battalion Optimus and Bumblebee has loaded new high-resolution stock photos for the Platinum two-pack of G1 triple changers Astrotrain and Blitzwing. While the decos for these - especially Astrotrain - defy analysis, the new looks should be a welcome sight to those who already have older reissues or simply enjoy seeing new ideas on old toys. Click through to check them out!
Hasbro's website has posted new images of the Platinum Edition Blitzwing & Astrotrain! Blitzwing looks just about as good in tank mode as he did as a robot or jet... and so does Astrotrain. These recolors really have been fascinating to see, and I can't want to see if I can ask more about them at BotCon this year. Keep reading to see!
