A little over a week ago, Deadline ran a story concerning Ian Bryce and his move to begin working with Netflix. if you don't immediately recognize the name, Ian Bryce worked as one of the producers on the live action film series. The article is written from the point of view of Netflix's gain in signing Bryce on to create content for them, but with Paramount not having the best run of late with its movies, Bryce's departure may be yet another sign of some internal changes. Transformers is mentioned only in passing among Bryce's large body of work, but one could presume will probably have an impact on whatever shape the future of the movie franchise might take after Bumblebee: The Movie.
