The Transformers MP-12 Sideswipe is out in Hong Kong. Thanks to Hobby Ark Toy Store page we have some images of the new release out of the box. Get a look at the packaging, robot and alternate modes as well as pictures of the collectors' coin and limited edition chromed pile-drivers after the jump.
Toynes.jp has posted its weekly toy sales rankings, and it pegs an interesting item in the top position. Leading its "comprehensive" Top 5 is Masterpiece Star Saber which with its 3/21 release date just barely made the reporting period from March 16th to 22nd. Following it in the list are two items from the current Super Sentai series, and two Yokai Watch items. While we can't be sure if this counts delivered presales, on the spot purchases, or both, it's not hard to imagine Star Saber was a big seller on its release weekend and may have been the biggest of all!
This week on Radio Free Cybertron: We talk about Combiner Wars Quickslinger and Brake-Neck (REALLY Slingshot and Wildrider) which were just unveiled, TFSS Tarantulus, MP25 Tracks, FP Volar NOT Swoop, new FP Function X recolors, and, of course, Masterpiece Exhaust. All that and more!
TakaraTomy Mall has put up a page announcing the next recolor of the Masterpiece Datsun body. The long awaited Blue Bluestreak is available for preorder from now through April 10th, to a limit of 2000 pieces. Blue Bluestreak will cost ¥7992 and will be released on August 1st. Click through to check out the mirrored pictures of the extremely pretty new Masterpiece recolor and keep an eye out at your favorite retailer or middleman for preorders!
TAGHobby has posted a couple of magazine scans showing off MP-25 Tracks, now in full color and good resolution! The toy's looking sharp in both modes - all three modes rather - and nicely poseable. We also get a nice shot of the whole package in one place, with Tracks in Flight Mode on his stand and Raoul and Blaster on the base. Don't expect anything from that Blaster but a Raoul-sized radio, because they are both tiny. Keep reading to see!
OptimusPrimeSG on Youtube has gotten his hands on Masterpiece Star Saber and brought us what may be out first look at the toy in video. Over the course of the half hour review, we get to see the toy in all modes, see the engineering in action, and get a taste of the design detail that went in to this figure that's been hyped non-stop for months. Check out the embedded video and see if it looks like it lives up to the buildup!
