It's time again for Japanese hobby magazine scans, and the first item of note is our first "official" look at Masterpiece Star Saber. Seen previously at an event where photography was forbidden, Star Saber is now revealed in full detail for all to see. And he has full transformation from his basic Saber form up to Star Saber. Brainmaster functions aren't confirmed, but you never know. Check out the scan below while we wait for bigger, clearer images to roll in!
Just in is the official Toys R Us SDCC 2014 press release that informs us they will be offering the Transformers Masterpiece Prowl and Sunstorm at the Entertainment Earth booth #2243 this year. Fans will be able to pick the Masterpiece figures up early with Prowl being offered at $70 USD and Sunstorm going for $80 USD. Additionally, Toys R Us will be offering these figures to order online at at toysrus.com/comicconvention

Autobase Aichi has found four more small sample images from the upcoming Masterpiece Official Guide. These pages focus mainly on MP-10 Convoy/Optimus Prime with images of the finished toy, design sketches and grayscale prototype images. The last page focuses on MP-20 Wheeljack. The pages show Ultra Magnus, Bluestreak, Wheeljack, and a cameo by Bumblebee, but the most time in this set of samples is devoted to Masterpiece Sideswipe, who is covered extensively with official photos and design sketches. Autobase Aichi has posted a description of the upcoming Transformers Masterpiece Official Guide, as well as a link to the cover image. The book is due for release in Japan in August and will run 3024 Yen (about USD $30), and will feature extensive photographs of all Masterpiece releases as well as previously unreleased sketches and interviews with the designers.
