New Alternators Images - Another Ravage?

 Thanks to Taobao seller Tffans and S250 for sharing images of a new Alternators prototype mold that has just surfaced. The figure looks to be a rendition of a Jaguar model car that is rumored to be released as Ravage. Check out the discussion posted by S250 at Tfans.com and the images posted in the image gallery.

I had an idea for this a looooooooong time ago. a sub line of TFs that transformed from vehicles to animals. (Jaguar = cat, Rabbit = bunny, etc.) |

I've been hoping they would try something like this for ages now! The Tracks repaint wasn't a bad idea, particularly with the model of car and the missle pods... but it really doesn't get any better than this. He's a "jaguar" in both modes! :)
So as long as they do a good job on the cat mode, I'm sold! It'll kind of suck if it ends up just looking like a car with panther legs and a head stuck on the hood. |

I passed on Ravage for some reason. Maybe it was money. I'm not sure. In any case, I'm rather interested in the beast mode for this figure. Honestly, I couldn't care much less about the car itself. I'm similarly excited about the Rumble figure, although we haven't gotten any info about that guy since the original image was leaked/released. ::sigh:: Oh well... |

I'm mostly interested in new car/bot versions of characters who were car/bots to begin with.

I'm also thinking that maybe,(though I kinda doubt it, but it would be nice) that this is going to be alternators Jagura from Breastforce.
Or since that might be too remote an association, maybe Steeljaw?
It is a prototype so colors could change.
Either way, should be interesting to see. |

by bob on Tuesday, September 05, 2006 @ 11:41:31 PM | Given the rumours that hasbro may be putting this line to bed soon (I don't think we know for sure if it's true- but we do know hasbro has no more out this year, stores aren't stocking the things much anymore, and the BT line seems to be stumbling), it will be interesting to see if this is the crowning achievement of a line that deserved to do better, or the embarassing death throws of the line.
This is such an exciting concept. If they get it right it'll be amazing. The bottom side of the car looks like it folds into a pretty thin and shapely creature. The burning question is what will happen to the dashboard and all the body paneling. That's a lot of large panels that have to go somewhere.
I can't wait to see! |
