Someone at Hasbro Asia seems to have discovered that you can do things with metal besides make it into coins! The company has announced that in Asian territories outside of Japan, purchasers of Masterpiece Inferno will receive a miniature diecast figure of Optimus Prime! All we have at the moment is a silhouette, but odds are good it's unarticulated. Keep reading to see the photo and announcement.
The 1984 Takara Diaclone Corvette Stingray was released in black and grey colours only in Finland as an R-Kioski retailer exclusive for a short time. While the 2002 Takara reissue lucky draw Black Tracks loosely referenced that Diaclone, it wasn’t until 2016 and the Tokyo Toy Show exclusive Masterpiece MP-25L Destron Sonic Sapper Loudpedal that Finland’s legendary gem was paid proper official tribute. This could be the best Masterpiece toy homage we’ve ever had.
ToysRUs has announced their slate of SDCC "exclusives" for 2016! The only Transformers product in the lot is the much-anticipated Hasbro release of Masterpiece Bumblebee and Spike! Long considered an impossible thing, both Takara and Hasbro have now made a Masterpiece version of Bumblebee that turns into a fully-licensed replica of a Volkswagen Beetle. Keep reading for more info and a stock photo!
TakaraTomyMall has also posted a product page with photography for Masterpiece Inferno! Due in Late November, we now get a good look at Inferno's full accessory loadout: in addition to the known accessories, like the extra torso with shelf for holding Red Alert, there's also a water-spray effect piece and alternate faces! Keep reading to have a look.
Toys R Us will be offering the Transformers Masterpiece Bumblebee With Spike Figure set as SDCC 2016 exclusives. This Masterpiece Bumblebee figure is inspired by the classic 1986 Transformers animated movie, and depicts the Autobot scout in his G1 Volkswagen Beetle form. This ultra-premium, collectible figure is a must-have for any Transformers collection, and comes with an Exosuit Spike Witwicky figure.
