The new issue of Hyper Hobby magazine is showcasing Takara Tomy's upcoming Masterpiece MP-13 Soundwave, offering up new looks of the Laserbeak cassette as well as a cassette holder that can fit the cassettes when not stored in Soundwave's chest.

The figure, about the size of MP-10 Convoy Ver 2.0, the first figure to debut in the new Masterpiece scale, is set for a December 2012 release for 15800 Yen (~$199 USD).

The magazine does not showcase Amazon Japan's exclusive, but Energon Cubes will come exclusively with every purchase of Soundwave through the online retailer.

Included in the new issue is also new painted looks at MP-12 Sideswipe and the gray MP-14 Red Alert without weapons.
