Just in is news that Del Rey books will be releasing a new science fiction novel based on the Transformers property titled "Transformers: Exodus" that is being written by author Alex Irvine.
What's quite interesting about this book is its 352 pages long. So this looks to be something of epic proportions, not just another kids book. There's no summary or indication of the time-line or series its written for. One can only ponder the possibilities. Look for this one to hit book shelves June 22, 2010.

FWIW, Alex Irvine is the author of such notable works as The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction, Batman Inferno, and Iron Man Virus. If that's any indication of the content of "Exodus." It may very well be this is an entirely fictional book set in its own universe. Tho it seems likely it will be a setup for the third movie.

Yeah, I teach English, and I can't remember the last good book that was only 100 pages long. Usually 100 pages or less denotes a novella. Ghosts of Yesterday, for example, was nearly 300 pages and Hardwired was over 300 pages. The sort of books I "really" like though are epic novels, ... read more
