MISP Steve - Friday, July 09, 2010

Following up on the heads up from BigBadToyStore.com.

We have news and official images from Hasbro who have just released a bunch of new or the Power Core Combiners.

The new pics give us some previews of the wave 2 Icepick and Chain Claw, Leadfoot and Pinpoint.

The images also give us the non-BotCon attendee look at the Destron 5 pack. Additional figures include Steelshot with Beacon, Sledge with Throttle, and many more.

Check out images in the gallery!

Toysrus.com is always an option. As for your toy mystery: Wal-Mart and Target are holding back on putting out new figures, for the fall/winter aisle resets done in August. It's easier to do a reset with merchandise that's been decreased by way of clearance, or a lightload of merchandise ... read more

And he is getting a new head as well. So choose wisely my friend. You never know if he will end up with battle damage non-sense or what. But then again, we all know we will see this mold, if not an IMPROVEMENT on this mold come time for TF3. With probably a waay better paint job too.

The light blue connectors are an eyesore, but after you connect them to the drones they almost disappear into the drones. Bombshock they are still kind of obvious but not at a distance.

I agree. Being a universal part to all of these figures, Im sure those limb connectors are being mass-molded in huge numbers. The blue blends into SOME of the color schemes, I have Searchlight and they dont look bad at all on him. But on many of the others, its a total eyesore. Why not black, or a m... read more

Good discussion going on with Liege! I still have yet to purchase one of these PCC sets...I've already passed up the first wave upon initial discovery at my local TRU. I'm debating a couple of the combiner sets, but...I'm honestly bouncing back and forth with the whole 'are the... read more

Interesting, although I have to question the pairing of the Chopster Minicon redeco with the Skyburst redeco, since the handle won't fit in the robot's hand... (Geez, I really haven't posted in a long time, have I?)

This too. Even though the excessive turn around is discouraging, at Botcon they said the redeco of the new Move Voyager Prime would come with hooks instead of swords. That right there I thank Hasbro for telling me to wait it out.

Liege you and I may disagree on figures, but when it comes to shelling out money. We definitely think alike, if your going to be a completest. be one for what you like. You don't have to buy every single figure that is released. As long as you have the ones you want. That's all that matt... read more

Need more fodder for your army? Didn't think the Power Core Combiner 5 packs were worth full price? Target is where you want to be this week, as they are selling all 5-pack sets for $9.99/EA! The sale runs through 2/19.
Hasbro's Lead Designer Eric Seibenaler said it would be happening back in November of last year, and now we know that the Power Core Combiners figure Spastic will be named Over-Run instead. The figure, when first announced, created a bit of controversy, with the name being considered insensitive for some Transfans based in the U.K. where the word is used to describe a person with the birth defect cerebral palsy in a derogatory way. Hasbro explained that the figure will not be sold in the U.K. Read more.
