Yeah, Brawl and Blackout are most likely out of the picture for ROTF But who knows... I thought Bonecrusher was dead, but he just moved to South America...

Well, I was more reffering to the lobsterclaw.. And, I know the Blackout didn't have lobsterclaws either. But, eh.. maybe he cut stuff up and pieced it all together on his own? |

No. My point was that I don't remember any Brawl t-shirts or other such merchandise, and that Hasbro could have easily changed the toy to "Devastator" if they wanted to be consistent with the movie. And if that made the novelization "wrong" it wasn't like anyone woul... read more |

Other than the toys, I don't recall too much Devibrawl ancillary merchandise - except for perhaps the printed media, and movie novelizations have such artifacts all the time (plus, I don't think he was even in the prequel book). |

OMG! It's like it was last time!! Devastator was the placeholder name for Brawl in the movie, while the names/characters were being kept secret. Just like Barricade's placeholder name was Brawl at one point. Michael Bay liked the name Devastator better than Brawl for the tank-bo... read more |

Yeah, but don't forget there all those novels and t-shirts and other ancillary merch, too. I think Hasbro figured the best thing to do was stay as consistent as possible, even if the thing that deviated was the movie itself. |

I think Hasbro could have changed it (we've all seen those stickers hastily applied over similar mistakes on other toys), but didn't because they wanted to hold some control over their intellectual property - where Brawl's a tank and Devastator a construction equipment combiner. |
