New Transformers Universe Video On Monkeybar TV

By bwbm on Wednesday, May 06, 2009

Update: Youtube video added for our overseas friends.

Hasbro Inc's Monkeybar TV has posted a brand-new Transformers Universe video titled "The Fight For Energon."

The video features Bumblebee (a mish-mash of multiple versions of the character) and Optimus Prime (Classics-based) duking it out with Megatron (G1 sans the cannon) and Universe (finally! something definitive!) Cyclonus in the fight for, uh, Energon.

Watch it over at Monkeybar TV.

Oh, and please mind the monitor on the top left-hand side of the page. It makes a loud sound reminiscent of a disc jockey scratching a record (can you tell I don't like that, either?).

CYclonus was a'ight. Bumblebee was just too funny. Nice "human alliance" mold mixed with G1 Bee.

Nice fusion of the designs of old and Movie. The "Radio tune in" sound before BB spoke was a good touch too.

Well, I agree about the poorly written script and the lousy dialogue, but that's just it. I like the idea about combining the G1 and movie design. If they decided to do a full hand drawn animation (not just crappy flash animation) based on this design, and then throw in a nice script and nice ... read more

I can only imagine how the fandom would have reacted if we had gotten this instead of Bay's version of Transformers

WTF?? is that based on the movie or G1 i can't tell, since when is Optimus all red with only his head blue and why did Bb have almost the same vehicle mode as the movie if it would be based on G1, it didn't make ANY sense at all
