New Views on Universe Ratchet - What No Hood Stirpes?

By News_Staff on Wednesday, December 31, 2008

kenzsq over at HK-TF has posted some images of the Transformers Universe deluxe class rachet figure. The images show two test shots of the Ironhide mold redeco and what the actual production colors will look like.

What's interesting is these images differ from the official Hasbro images that showed up on BBTS recently. The figures shown are much whiter looking and lack the red hood stripes that were on the official *photoshopped* images.

As always, these images are of prototype and or test shots made at the factory for reference or other reasons. The final product may differ significantly from what is shown here.

I just got the Hasbro Ironhide and kinda thought it was eh, everything was good except for the blue face. I dont really like having to pay the extra money for Ratchet but the henkei version looks really good compaired to hasbro version. I have to see the Hasbro version in person before I make up my ... read more

I kind of like the hood stripe. My question is, what with the whole heart monitor symbol as of late on the Ratchets. If this is supposed to be a throwback to G1 Ratchet, get rid of it and use a proper red cross, or better yet, a caduceus (the medical symbol with the winged staff with two snakes fo... read more

what do you find complicated about the figure? it's pretty easy to get him too and from each mode. unclip the front, unfurl the legs, fold out the arms, fold in the wheels, and collapse the body.. that's basically all you have to do.

you know that hasnt dawned on me before VTS... why the hell does an ambulance need passenger windows? hmmm maybe I could use the white sections from some sticker sheets to cover them up

I don't know why they don't just white out the rear windows to make him a panel truck like a real ambulance would be. I know the Henkai version is nice but I'm going to go with the Hasbro one to save a buck. If anything about him really bothers me I'll just paint it.

I like him better without the hood stripes, actually.

the only thing Id like to see is the trademark red cross below the window on his chest .... or shoulder I guess, that was the autobot symbol below the window
